Police declares a 200l student of unical missing

A 200 level student of the Department of Agriculture Extension/Rural Sociology, University of Calabar, Kedei Iwara Ibiang, has been declared missing by the police. statement issued by the Cross River State Police Command on Friday, August 13, said the 20-year-old student left home on the 11th of August 2021 to write his exams but didn’t get to school nor returned home. UNICAL threatens to publish names of 42,000 graduands yet to collect their certificates since 1980s

The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has issued a three-month ultimatum to graduands of the institution who are yet to collect original copies of their certificates.  In an official memo dated June 25, the Registrar of the University, Mr. Gabriel Egbe said that there were over 42,000 unclaimed certificates in the various faculties and institutes. Professor Peter Ogban, of the department of soil science at the University of Calabar, has been sentenced to three years imprisonment by a High Court sitting in Akwa-Ibom State, for the fraudulent manipulation of election results.
