DG to NYSC members: only NYSC can grant you travel permit

Brig. Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim,the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Friday told corps members that only the NYSC authority not their employer has the right to grant them a travel permit to embark on any journey away from their place of primary assignment. The DG stated this during his visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp MD Yusuf Complex, Mani Road, Katsina. NYSC MEMBER GIVES BIRTH AT ORIENTATION CAMP

Yanusa Ranatu, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, from Kwara State who just concluded her registration at Kaiama orientation camp yesterday gave birth to a baby at the Bayelsa State Referral Hospital, Kaiama, in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa state. The State Coordinator, Mrs Ojugo Iyowuna who led a delegation of key camp officials to visit her in the hospital, presented items needed to support the baby and his mother. The corps member who commended the NYSC for its quick intervention in coming to her aid commended the NYSC scheme's show of kindness towards her and her baby.

FG launches an internship program for graduates who has concluded their NYSC

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, launched a Job placement scheme for graduates who have successfully concluded their one- year NYSC program called the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP). ⁣The internship program which is said to be fully paid and sponsored by the federal government in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and the European Union (EU), is expected to last for 12 months, with an estimated 20,000 beneficiaries posted to reputable private and public sector organizations across the countries. This is to inform all prospective NYSC Corpers that the NYSC 2021 Batch B Online Registration will commence on Tuesday 29th June 2021. Prospective Corps Members who were not deployed 2021 Batch 'A' Stream II will be deployed 2021 Batch 'B' and will be notified when to print their Call-up Letter. Those who have not seen their names on the verified senate list online should be patient, most Institutions have not submitted the hard copy of the Senate list to NYSC.
