Ex-Nigerian Governor Gives Up The Ghost On Independence Day

A former Nigerian governor has died on Friday, October 1st. Commodore Ibrahim Keffas who was a former administrator during the military regime of Sanni Abacha in Delta and Cross river died on independence day. The ex-ruler’s death was announced on AIT News. He died in an Abuja hospital at the age of 73 and was also buried on the same day due to his religion. The deceased was a military administrator between 1993 and 1996. FG: we’ll use indigenous products to mark independence

The Federal Government says it will use locally made products, nation’s rich culture and tourism to commemorate the country at 60, as celebration continues. Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, said this at a news conference organised in line with the preparation of Nigeria at 60 celebration continuation.
