Gunmen abduct AAU lecturer, demand N18m ransom
A lecturer with the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, Professor Osadolor Odia has been abducted by unknown gunmen. The Professor of Engineering and former Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering was reportedly abducted on his way to his farm in Egoro, Ekpoma, in Esan West Local Government Area, on Thursday morning, April 29. An anonymous source who spoke to newsmen said the abductors had made contact with the family demanding for a ransom of N18 million.
