The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, has queried Channels Television and summoned the presenters of Sunrise Daily programme over some recent interviews perceived to be critical of President Muhammadu Buhari.

NBC issued the query in a letter to the TV station dated August 24th and titled, ‘Notice of Infraction’ and signed by its Director General, Balarabe Ilelah.
Also, human rights’ activist and former Chairman of Nigeria’s National Human Rights Commission, Chidi Odinkalu, confirmed the invitation of the Channels TV presenters of Sunrise Daily on his Twitter
He wrote, ”There is confirmation that @nbcgovng has summoned the presenters of @sunrisedailynow for this morning.”
A former Nigerian Navy officer, Commodore Kunle Olawunmi (retd.) had also alleged during the programme on Wednesday that said Boko Haram terrorists mentioned names of current governors, senators and Aso Rock officials as sponsors during interrogation by the military authorities
