Following the trending news of Commedian Chinedu Ani best known as Nedu and his ex-wife Ms Uzoamaka Ohiri concerning infidelity and domestic violence, Nedu has summited a petition against his ex-wife to the Lagos state police command.
In a letter of invitation which dates 7th September with reference letter CR:3000/LSX/D10/Vol.3/71 which was signed by Fayoade Adegoke, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Ms Uzoamaka was invited to see CSP Margaret Ighodalo just for fact finding.
However it was learnt that on Uzoamaka’s arrival to the the Lagos State Police station on Wednesday, she was questioned for six hours before being granted administrative bail and ordered to return the next day.
It was also reported that they took a picture of her.
When she returned to the SCID on THURSDAY she was grilled again and warned to stop posting comments on social media about her ex-husband. She was also made to return on Friday.
This continued until a relative of Uzoamaka cried out to the public.
She said “My cousin is seriously being harassed, humiliated and intimidated by the Police because of the status of her ex-husband.
How does a family and civil matter concern the Police? The Commissioner of Police needs to caution his men.”
When the spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, was contacted he said that he was unaware of any invitation.
He promised investigate the incident and get back to the public but later on refused to respond to calls. We are social! follow us on:
