JAMB Punishes born again Ex Candidate for exam malpractice after 21 years

A former candidate of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has been instructed to forfeit all the academic certificates he had acquired, including the result of the University Matriculation examination after he admitted to engaging in examination malpractices, 21 years ago. The candidate, identified as Timipade Kemepade, had written a letter to JAMB titled: ‘Restitution on my JAMB Result 21 Years Ago’ seeking forgiveness for engaging in exam malpractice. Jamb fix date to commence sales of registration Form 2022

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Monday announced that the registration for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and the Direct Entry examination will commence by February 12, 2022. The board made this known in its weekly bulletin released by its Director of Public Relations, Dr Fabian Benjamin, and made available to The PUNCH in Abuja. In the timeline of events attached to the bulletin, the board announced that the “UTME/DE registration starts 12th February 2022 and ends 19th March 2022. Mock examination holds on 20th April 2022. UTME holds from 20th to 30th April 2022”.

JAMB 2021 UTME/DE e-PIN vending closes May 10th
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, on Monday, stated that pre-examination activities, including registration for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination would start late due to  issue arising from the National Identification Number. The Academic Staff Union of Universities has said the N30bn Revitalisation Fund and N22.5bn Earned Academic Allowance totalling N52.5bn released by the Federal Government is not enough to deal with the challenges facing the university system. The Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU), Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma chapter, has dragged Governor Godwin Obaseki led Edo State Government to court over the Special Intervention Powers Provisions Law 2021 which conferred extra-ordinary powers on the governor in the direct management of the affairs of the institution. Fed Govt extends NIN/SIM verification deadline till March as enrolment hits 71 million

The Federal Government has extended the deadline for linkage of the Subscribers Identity Module (SIM) cards with the National Identity Numbers (NIN) till March 31, 2022. Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ibrahim Pantami, conveyed the approval of the Federal Government in a joint statement by the Director of Public Affairs of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr Ikechukwu Adinde and the Head of Corporate Communications of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Mr Kayode Adegoke.
