A member of the National Executive Committee (NEC), Dr Dele Ashiru has disclosed this in a chat with newsmen on Monday. He explained that ASUU has its procedures for any action to be taken.
He further explained that ASUU is not a one man business therefore it can’t just take the action.
However, he admitted that ASUU gave the Federal Government the deadline of August 31st 2021 but if the demands are not met, there will be a meeting called for NEC and they will report back. It’s in the meeting that the next decision will be taken.
However, the demands made by ASUU are as follows
1.That the government should sign and implement the renegotiated agreement with them.
2. That the government should mainstream the academic earned allowances
3. That the government should pay the N40billion revitalization fund.
